Signature Divider

A visual separator (horizontal line, colored bar, or whitespace) used in an email signature to break the block into logical sections.

What is Signature Divider?

A signature divider is a visual element that separates the sections of an email signature: the personal block from the contact details, the contact details from the banner campaign, or the campaign from the legal footer. Dividers improve scannability because recipients can move down the signature in clear steps rather than parsing a wall of text. Implementations include thin horizontal lines (one to two pixels), short colored bars (matching the brand palette), increased white space (no visible line, just padding), or a thin colored band (used as a section header). The HTML for dividers in email signatures must be table-based (a one-row table with a colored cell, or a `border-top` style on a row) because Outlook desktop does not reliably render `<hr>` elements with custom styling. Most signature templates use one or two dividers maximum; over-dividing breaks the signature into visually noisy fragments.
