What is Email Signature Template?
An email signature template is a pre-designed signature layout containing placeholders for employee-specific variables (name, title, phone, photo) that are filled in at render time from the employee directory. The template defines the brand-consistent design: logo placement, typography, color palette, layout structure, social icon set, and CTA region. The variables substitute the per-employee data. Templates enable the entire organization to present a consistent signature without each employee designing their own. A library of templates lets different teams (sales, support, executive) use variants while still inheriting brand consistency. Templates are typically authored in a designer-friendly UI in the signature platform, exported as HTML at render time, and applied to each employee's outgoing email. Versioning the template ensures that updates roll out cleanly and can be audited or rolled back. The size of the template library on a signature platform is a rough proxy for the platform's design maturity.
