Email Signature for Android

An email signature for Android is configured per-app rather than at the operating system level. In Gmail for Android, the signature is set under Settings > Account > Mobile signature, separate from the user's web Gmail signature. In Outlook for Android, the signature is set under Settings > Signature. Samsung Mail and other default Android mail clients have their own per-account signature configuration. Like iOS, Android does not provide a single global mail signature setting, so the signature must be configured in each app the user sends from. For organizations managing Android devices via Android Enterprise (formerly Android for Work) or mobile device management platforms, signatures can be pushed via app configuration policies for Gmail and Outlook. The most reliable approach for cross-app consistency is server-side stamping at the mail server, which applies the signature regardless of which Android email client the user sends from, eliminating per-app configuration.
