QR Code in Email Signature
A QR code embedded in an email signature that, when scanned, takes the recipient to a contact card, website, calendar booking page, or campaign landing page.
What is QR Code in Email Signature?
A QR code in an email signature is a small embedded image that, when scanned by a smartphone camera, resolves to a destination URL. Common destinations include the sender's vCard (saving contact details to a phone), a Calendly or scheduling link (booking a meeting), a personal website or portfolio, a campaign landing page, or a social media profile. QR codes work particularly well when the email recipient is on a desktop and wants to capture information on their phone for later, or when the signature owner attends conferences and wants the same email signature to function as a physical business card. The QR code image should be at least 100x100 pixels, with sufficient quiet space around it, and use error correction level Q or H to remain scannable when reproduced at small sizes. Dynamic QR codes (where the resolved URL can be changed after the code is generated) are preferred because they support measurement and let the destination evolve without regenerating the code.
